_what do i do?

I make websites. I actually make all kinds of things, as long as those things are made of CODE, but websites are my main thing now.

_what kind of code?

For websites: PHP, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, SQL, Javascript.
For other types of thing: VB.NET, C#, Python, Perl, Delphi, VBScript.
My preferred CMS (content management system) for developing websites is Drupal.

_what don't i do?

I don't do Flash (javascript is better for websites!). I don't work in an office. And I don't garden.

_who do i make websites for?

_how long have i been doing this?

I've been writing code for 12 years, and building websites for 6 years, but I've only been freelance for 2 years now. So I'm both highly-skilled and highly-motivated!

_you already have a website. what can i do for you?

I also manage, maintain and host websites. I have a fully scalable virtual private server with vps.net and I offer different levels of hosting and maintenance packages depending on your site's needs and traffic.

_what about design and branding?

I'm good at writing code. Unfortunately really good visual designs aren't made out of code, they're made out of far more irrational things such as colours and shapes and ideas. That's why I partner with graphic designers who can do all that difficult stuff better than I can. I do a lot of work with Marc De'Ath of The Creative Coop (in fact, he designed this website you're looking at right now!). It all depends on your needs. If you're on a tight budget and you're happy with a nice but standard website, I can do all that. If you want a really nice, original-looking website, I'd recommend bringing in a graphic designer.

_tell me some more about yourself...

I prefer cats to dogs, I do Tai Chi, I live in the North Yorkshire countryside and I drink slightly too much coffee. I like science fiction. I don't own an anorak but I do (sometimes) have long hair.
